We wanted: complete control over the look, big photos, an integrated blog, super easy blog posting and updating, and a good mobile experience. Now when I'm tempted to kill time on one of them, I have to stare this in the face first. The lettering was sketched in pencil, scanned, manually traced and cleaned up in Illustrator, printed, traced in pencil, and scanned again. (Whew!) I thought there would be some who might want to use this for themselves, so I made it available at a variety of resolutions.
